ID Required for Piercing + Tattoo in Idaho

We require ID for all tattooing and piercing services that we offer from everybody regardless of age. Failure to provide proper identification in-person when you arrive at your appointment will result in a forfeit of your deposit. We don’t want to do this, so please bring proper ID and everyone will be much happier with the outcome. Minors need to be accompanied by a legal guardian, provide proof of guardianship, and the guardian’s ID. All IDs or combinations of IDs need to have a photo, name, and be from a recognized issuer like the United States, an individual state, or a passport issued by a well-known country.

Ultimately, final approval for any and all procedures are at the sole discretion of the artist performing the work and staff at Imperial Body Art.

IDs for minors

Minors may receive some services at Imperial Body Art if they are accompanied by a legal guardian–not a friend, aunt, or anybody that cannot prove they are legally appointed guardian of the minor. Since minors may not have things like a photo identification, we do accept the following forms of identification from the minor:

Birth Certificate + Student ID, Infinite Campus or PowerSchool (must have photo and name)
State Issued ID Card
State Issued Driver’s License
US Passport or Passport Card
International Passport

Proof of Guardianship

Along with their valid personal identification, the legal guardian accompanying the minor will need to provide one of the following to prove guardianship:

Court-ordered Document
Exchange Student Guardianship Affidavit
Birth Certificate

IDs for adults

Adults receiving any service at Imperial Body Art or the legal guardian accompanying a minor receiving services must provide one of the following forms of identification:

State Issued Driver’s License
State Issued ID Card
US Passport or Passport Card
International Passport

How old is the person getting ?

We generally do not pierce younger than 5 years old with select piercings. Regardless of age, all piercing is at the sole discretion of the piercer.

We can do jewelry changes and maintenance on virtually any aged person even if we didn't do the piercing. Get in touch with us for more information, or come in and see us for the best answer.

We do not tattoo minors under any circumstances. Valid ID is required the day of your appointment.
